STIHL recognizes its 2021 Suppliers of the Year
Five companies have been honored with the title 2021 STIHL Supplier of the Year. Among all STIHL suppliers around the world, these five stood out for their outstanding attributes in terms of quality, technology, innovation, service, and price/performance ratio. In his speech marking the awards, Martin Schwarz, STIHL Executive Board Member for Manufacturing and Materials, emphasized the importance of good collaboration, especially in challenging times, and talked about what makes a partnership successful. “One important aspect is being able to rely on each other,” Schwarz said. “And we were able to consistently rely on you – especially in the past year. You have impressed us with your outstanding quality and excellent service,” commented Martin Schwarz in his address. “Despite difficult framework conditions, we once again succeeded in increasing our revenue and sales. Thanks to anticipatory planning, and in no small measure due to your support, we were able to continue our production at high capacity to supply our customers to the best extent possible.” 2021 was a record year for the STIHL Group in several respects. The family-owned business achieved records in terms of revenue, unit sales, production and employee numbers, and also broke through the 5-billion-euro mark for the first time in its 96-year history, generating total revenue of 5.06 billion euros.
The huge importance of good and long-established supplier relationships at STIHL is reflected not least in the repeat recognition of individual partners: Of the five companies to receive the award, one was recognized for the second time (L-edv GmbH & Co. KG), and two were honored for the third time (Karcoma-Armaturen GmbH, Prüfrex Innovative Power Products GmbH). For the first time in two years, the companies receiving awards were presented with them during a celebration at the German headquarters in Plant 2, Neustadt.

Manufacturers of electronic control units and digital ignition systems - SIMON Sinterlutions GmbH & Co. KG (Aichhalden, Germany)
Manufacturers of components for machine and plant engineering, consumer goods, the sanitary industry, and the automotive sector - Viking Rubber Co. A/S (Faaborg, Denmark)
Workwear manufacturer
STIHL has been honoring the best suppliers for their outstanding performance every year since 1990. To date a total of 113 suppliers have received this distinction, some of them multiple times.
